Vacation Part VIII: Vacation is Almost Over...
Friday August 3rd we went up the river (yes...again... you have no idea how much we miss it). Once a year my moms family has a reunion. It's usually farther up the river because my aunts own property up there. See. Everyone likes the river. It's the cool place to hang out. So later that afternoon, we cruised up there to see family. It was the first time that any of them had seen our new Izzie. They all loved her. She's a little late coming in that crowd though. Nearly all my cousins have two or more kids, and I found out that since three years ago (last time we saw them all), their kids have gotten much bigger. They were all cute and fun, but I definitely prefer my Izzie.
Here's my Aunt Teri with Izzie:

Here's Izzie while I'm holding her. I was bummed that she slept almost the whole time, but that's what babies do.

Just after dinner, we were able to round everyone up for a 2007 family photo.

Uncle D even found time to hold his baby niece. I know he loves her. I think he just pretends like it's cool. Deep down on the inside he's all sentimental...I think.

We had a lot of fun, and I especially enjoyed being able to see my family (cousins, aunts & uncles). We don't see them as often as I would like. (tear)
On our way home, we stopped by my dad's house to say hi and visit for a few minutes. Here's my dad holding Izzie. I have to post both pictures (with and without flash) because Izzie is the cutest. Grandpa captivated her attention, and then after I took the first picture with the flash she looked over at me. It was about that time when I took the second picture. Does grandpa look proud or what.

We mosied on inside. Grandma Tonia (ha...that kills me... and her... I like to remind her that she's the only Grandma I know that under 35) didn't take long getting Izzie smiling. Just as soon as Izzie started smiling, the rest of the family crowded around to check her out. I think that may have weirded her out because she was looking around like "what's wrong with you guys? What are you looking at?"
