Vacation Part VII: A Day of Firsts
August 2nd:
I taught my sisters a new trick last night. It was fun. Although, I did have to go first because the rest of them were too scared. They didn't want to die.

Today was Lynnell's uncles funeral. It was a nice funeral. I really like the pastor that did the service (or whatever you call it). She did a great job. It was officially Izzie's first funeral although I'm sure she'll never remember it.
Here we are at the after-funeral-luncheon. Izzie got her first bottle, and dad (that's me) was the first one to give it to her. She did superbly, and I had a lot of fun watching her figure it out. Once she figured out that sucking on the thing produced food, she didn't stop. I also learned that Lynnell shouldn't give her the bottle because it might confuse the baby. So, at this point, I'm looking forward to feeding Izzie a lot more.

We only stayed at the lunch for about 90 minutes. After that we loaded up my little sisters into the van and headed up the river for some fun.

Later that evening when we got back to Lynnell's mom and dad's house, grandpa took a cat nap with Izzie.

Here's Lynnell's brother with Izzie.

Then before we all went to bed Lynnell and Shasta took their babies upstairs to put to rest the mystery of who's baby was longer. Bailey won. But...she's three weeks older. I mean come on. I heard that it was pretty close though, so maybe in about 15 years or so we'll be able to determine a permanent winner.
