Vacation Part VI: Five Weeks Old

Izzie was 5 weeks old on August 1st. Man it went by fast.

But enough of that. We had to pick Lynnell's sister up from the Spokane airport on Wednesday afternoon. She and her new baby flew up from Elko to attend the funeral for Lynnell's uncle. We were slightly late thanks to my procrastination. Sorry Shasta.

It was the first time that we got to see Bailey (Shasta's baby girl), and man did she looked a lot like her dad. Shasta, Joe (Shasta's husband... I know... it's not everyday that sisters marry guys with the same name) and the family were just in Idaho the week before us to visit, so we missed seeing them. It was fun to get the chance to see Shasta and her baby because it was the first time that Izzie got to be with her new baby cousins. Irelynn was 6 months old, Bailey was 8 weeks and Izzie was 5 weeks.



I think they are all cute babies, but my bias says that Izzie is the cutest of them all.

We spent the rest of the evening visiting, catching up and holding babies. The really weird thing was how alike Izzie and Bailey were. Their cries, their whimpers and coos all sounded so much alike that it was creepy. When both babies went down for a nap and one started to cry, both Shasta and Lynnell went to see which baby it was. That's how alike they are. It was fun.
