Vacation Part IV: Casa De La Mamá
The day was Monday July 30th. Day one at my mom's house. First thing in the morning, Uncle D was up and feeling much better.

Izzie was up bright and early, so she went back to sleep for quite a while that morning. I wrapped her up nice and tight, and she zonked for about three hours straight.

We had big plans for the day. It was the day for Izzie's first boat ride. It wasn't really a boat ride though. It was more like Izzie's first luxury cruise. Some of my moms friends have a 3 bedroom 65' house boat on Lake Coeur d' Alene. It was pretty posh. We started out at Conklin Park Marina in the lake and cruized up the St. Joe River all the way to St. Maries. We didn't have the opportunity to do a Chinese Fire Drill or ghost ride the whip (or would that be ghost ride the silver haze), but we did stop for a quick swim before we headed back down river.

Here's my mom's mom (my Grandma Hazel) holding Izzie for the first time. It's her 17th great grand child (or something like that). Despite the enormous blessing of many offspring, my grandma didn't fall short on love for number 17.

Here is a picture of Alan holding Izzie on our way back down the river.

It was a good day, and we had a blast getting out on the lake and the river for a nice cruise. Now I can't wait for next year.
