Sledding in January

On January 10th, 2010 we went sledding with a bunch of friends from Narrate. It was a blast. I won't do much explaining except that Izzie was too afraid to do the big kid hill, so we found a little bank that worked for her. She was as happy as could be with it, and although Lynnell and I became bored and tired of making the same 30 foot trek over and over again our two year old didn't.

Lynnell and I learned something from this little outing. As much as we loath the thought of taking an hour to get us all ready to trudge out into the cold of winter, the reward for taking the risk is far greater than the security and comfort of not doing it. We'll definitely be more proactive in the future with events that require more effort than we might be willing to put in to make it happen.
