POWER Outage 2009

Every year my company (POWER Engineers,Inc.) has a company outing for each office. This year the Billings office decided to go to the token go-kart/mini-golf/arcade facility that every city with more than two people has. It was quite fun and enjoyable. It was a bummer for Lynnell though because she couldn't do much more than play miniature golf since she was pregnant. Izzie and I tried to make up for it though.

Here we are getting ready to make some laps on the go-kart track.

Here we are off in the distance as our awesome go-kart hugs the corners.

After go-karting we tried our hand at skeet ball. Izzie couldn't quite get the ball to roll fast enough to make it up the ramp, so I trained her in the art of putting the quarter in the slot and pushing the button. Here she is showing off her new skillz.

After we earned an impressive number of tickets we decided that it was time to try our hand at mini-golf. Here's Izzie carrying her club and ball with absolutely no idea about what they are for.

She lasted for the first three holes, and then her attention span ran out. Nell took her inside for some more action.

We did the bumper boats and some more arcading and then we called it an afternoon. That evening everyone from my office met back up at the semi-pro baseball game where we had a private dinning area and seats reserved to finish off the company outing for the day. Here's Nell and Izzie watching the baseball game after filling themselves on, what else, baseball food (hamburgers, brats, hot dogs, nachos and sorts).

The Billings Mustangs lost, but it was a great ending to a great day. We had a good time, and we were grateful that we were in town this year for the Outage.
