Uncle D Graduates!

That's right. Uncle D graduated from Eastern Washington University with a degree in marketing. Way to go Uncle D! We are very proud of you.

Here's Nell, Izzie and I sitting in the stands taking it all in and watching the graduation proceedings happen.

If you are wondering if it was hot the answer is yes. Here's a shot of all the graduates sitting on the football field in the warm June sun. EWU puts the graduates from each college together, so the whole process was extra long.

I had to take a video of D getting announced because that's how I roll. It doesn't make it any more legit; it just makes it more memorable.

And then of course we had to go down and get some pictures with the new graduate.

Then it was off to Grannie's house for a big celebration. I didn't get too many pictures of the event because I just mostly hung out and enjoyed myself. That and I was the involuntary bar tender. Maybe there were some preconceived notions about my abilities after my graduation mishap. HA! Here's a couple of pictures of Izzie though; one of her and one with Aunt Sam.

The party was fantastic. There were family and friends and good times had by all. After all of the guests were gone and the fun with them we did the only logical thing to do after a day of sun and an afternoon of partying. We went for a boat ride at dusk. It was spontaneous and fun. If you were to ask Izzie she would tell you it was epic. In fact, a month and a half later, she still talks about it on a daily basis. She is always asking to go boating. Obviously I tried to wear my camera out on the boating adventure, so here's some pics.

Izzie and Grannie hung out for a bit.

Then Izzie and I ventured up to the bow of the boat to get a better view of everything. It was a pontoon boat, so getting as far forward as possible was pretty easy to do.

Nell and I.

We boated out to a restaurant on the lake, picked up some food and cruised around and took our time heading back to the dock. Eventually Izzie ended up sitting on Grannies lap again. Here the are watching the waves.

I can't think of a better way to spend a day.
