January 2009
As always, it's time for some random pictures.
This is January 2009:
New Years Day: Izzie discovered that she can put things in her mouth and walk around with them. Apparently it's the greatest thing ever because she was giggling like crazy with this red ball. It probably didn't help that I was encouraging it by tickling her and chasing her to try to get it.

We've finally reached the point where Izzie is developing a sense for fashion... Or at least trying. She insisted on wearing her new boots that Grannie got her for Christmas while she rode her new pony even though the boots didn't match the outfit or the horse.

She's getting quite good with utensils, but sometimes it's just easier to grab a fist full of food and hope that 50% of it makes it to the mouth.

Anyone who has kids (or has seen a kid... which is everyone) knows that it's not all fun and games. Here she is faking a fit for God only knows what.

Here's a funny happening. Lynnell said that one day at lunch she just sat in her chair with her hand on her cheek. She ate her whole meal that way. Lynnell said that she didn't take her hand off of her cheek for anything. I propose that she was monitoring the development of her mandible during this crucial task.

Yeah, I know; she's cute.
We decided to go out for dinner one night, and Izzie lucked out because she got to sit next to daddy. It was the cutest thing; she would randomly lean over on me and just hang out as if to say "I love you daddy." Luckily we had the camera with us for just such an occasion. Here she is loving dad.

And then she would sit up and go back to eating and coloring like it was no big deal.

It's fun being a dad. I can't wait for the next one... :)
