Most Popular Names of the 20th Century

When Lynnell and I were picking out names for Izzie, we didn't want something common. We wanted her name to be unique. Obviously we did just that.

As I was poking around on MSNBC today I found a curious link and clicked it. It lists the top ten names for boys and girls by decade for the last 100 years. I found it interesting and descided to post it here. So, if you want a unique name for your child don't use any of the names on this list.

Infant Swimming & Drowning Prevention

One of the ladies at my office sent me an email with a link to a video that I thought was cool enough to blog about. I wasn't patient enough to wait for the video on the main page to load, so just click the link and wait for the video to start in the black page that comes up.

It's pretty crazy. That little guy does it like a champ. I think that Izzie needs to learn this just so I can toss her in the pool to 1. horrify people and 2. to amaze people. I'm just kidding. I wouldn't do that. But it does seem like a cool skill to teach your child. Who knows maybe it will become useful when they get inebriated one day (not my child... of course).

Sorry it's been so long since I posted. We just got internet yesterday, and I spent yesterday evening setting it up. Tonight I will post and catch you up on the new house and what we've been doing during February.

Our New House

We did it! We bought a house. It only took a year and a half to find the right one.

Pictures say more than I can write, so below is a slide show of the pictures I took followed by a link to the album so you can peruse for yourself. If you feel like getting the cliff note picture version, then see the pictures posted below.

And of course, here's my girls as happy as can be in their new house.
