Catching Up On the 4.5 Months Mark
Thanksgiving is in a few days, and I think now would be a good time to catch up on the last few weeks because if I don't I'll have too much to post about after Thanksgiving.
Izzie is growing and maturing like crazy. She's sitting by herself (well... holding in that position) although it's still a little unsteady. She still isn't trying to crawl at all though. That bums me out a little, but I know she's only 4 and a half months old. Nothing major has happened since the shots which is part of the reason that I haven't been posting. So, I'll skip the talking and jump to the pictures to make this go faster.
Here's Izzie and I hanging out on the couch checking email. She loves hanging out with dad.

A couple of weeks ago we raked leaves in the front yard. Izzie joined us in her stroller. She sat there for a while trying to figure out what all of the ruckus was, and then she got bored and just started looking around.

Then I got the brilliant idea of laying Izzie in a pile of leaves for a picture. She wasn't happy about it. This picture is as close to happy as she got.

Izzie's new thing is grabbing anything that is within reach of her chubby little baby arms. She'll reach for glasses on the table, plates, cell phones and anything else that will fit in her hand. One day Nell laid Izzie on the bed for a moment while she grabbed something from another room. When she came back Izzie had found her belt laying on the bed. Here's her BUSTED face.

Speaking of sitting up, here's Izzie teaching herself how to read her book.

And her she is imitating the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

The one thing that is always available to grab and chew on is her feet, and she utilizes that a lot. Anytime she is on her back she grabs them and pulls them to her face for the gnawing. She especially likes them bare. Apparently socks cause fuzz balls.

She still digs her little chair thing or whatever it is called. I'll refer to it as the Z-chair from now on since the Zupan's got it for her. Here she is hanging out with her rabbit.

And what happens when she drops the rabbit? Izzie does her best to find it and grab it again. She's getting good at it.

Here's a picture that I've decided is cheesy, but I have to post it anyways. What do you think? Cheesy or not?

Either way, she's still cute.
Izzie started to get a cold about a week ago. She was fussy and crabby for a few day, but thanks to a loving mom she got back on her feet quickly. During those few days she was extra cuddly though, and I dug it. She's so precious and I take every opportunity I have to hold her close. Apparently it takes a cold to get her in the mood for it. Here she is with Nell one day, and me the next.

Anyways, that's what's been going on around here. We are headed to Spokane and North Idaho for Thanksgiving, so check back sometime after that for pictures and stories.
Happy Thanksgiving.
