It's Been A While

I haven't posted in a while. Mostly because I'm lazy and partly because...well, I'm lazy.

Here's the short version:

Morning sickness turned into all-day sickness. That lasted a couple of months. It was so pleasant I still have dreams about it.

We had a bit of a scare in January, but our minds were put to ease when we went to the doctors office to hear the baby's heart beat.

Since Christmas, Lynnell has been 100%. There's the occasional aches and pains, but besides the minor irritants, we've been on cruise control.

Post people (...I'm going to have to narrow that to women who've had kids) will tell you that you don't feel your first baby for a while because you don't know what you are looking for. We'll Lynnell finally got that tuned in, and now she's always telling me that the baby's moving. I try to feel it, but I get nothing. I guess I'll have to keep waiting.

Next week (2/14/07) we will find out what the sex of the baby is. We are pretty excited. So far, we only have a boys name picked out...Joe #4. Hey, I have to keep it going. Girls names are a little more difficult. I've suggested some classy James Bond girls as good candidates for names, but, for some reason, Lynnell doesn't care to hear it. We've mostly narrowed it down to a handful or so, but we keep coming across others that sound pretty good. So, that hunt continues.

I'm pretty sure it's going to be a boy. Lynnell seems to be getting worried that it might be a girl and that I will be really disappointed. I just tell her that she should worry because it's going to be a boy and that it'll all be ok. (See where the problem is?)

Anyways, check back next week.
